That's amazing. I've been to Paris twice, but would really love to return to spend time in other parts of the country in the future. I got really into French cinema at university, and since then have been drawn in by French writers again and again. I also went through a big period of being fascinated by American/English writers who decamped to Paris between the wars.

The way culture and politics have developed there is really fascinating to me as an American, and these are just my little personal pet research projects to try to learn more about it. I'm glad you enjoyed it -- I know it's not the type of writing that tends to take off on this platform, but I still have my little inner nerd I need to indulge from time to time.
