I'm in the wearing-one-for-support camp. Even alone in my house all day, I'll throw on a bralette, because my back and shoulders will start to ache if I don't. But I am really happy to see the younger generation rebelling against the underwire, as well.
When I was a teen, underwire and pushup bras were pretty much all that were on offer. I think wire-free bras and bralettes are the perfect answer to how to get the physical support many of us need without the soul-crushing pain that comes from wearing a bra purely for aesthetics.
Very interesting read. Thanks for writing this!
