I agree. There is so much diversity among men and women as categories that classifying each based on gender feels pointless to me.
Socialization and cultural pressures affect us differently and lead to different issues that each gender faces, of course. But I don't think we need to struggle to understand men or understand women so much as try to understand other people in general.
Men are people, just like women. There's no mystery to them, anymore than the mystery that comes with just trying to understand another person.
